A ridiculous time for surgery

Got the time for my surgery tomorrow....3:45! Arrive at 2:15, and NOTHING to eat or dring from midnight tonight. I literally asked her "Are you serious?" she was somewhat of a b and simply repeated the instructions. Alrighty then. Guess I could cheat (what real diff could there be as long as the same amount of time has transpired if I had the surgery at 7:00 am) but the truth of the matter is, I'll do better having not eaten anything. I don't usually have breakfast and don't really get hungry till around noon. If I eat at 5:00 am, I'll die by then. I love my life....

    Just so you know I PRESSED my doc to the wall when I had my hysterectomy as my surgery wasn't scheduled until noon, and he told me that it only has to be 8 hours to ensure your stomach is completly empty. I actually set the alarm and got up at 4 and ate. As it turned out I didn't even go in for the surgery until 1:30 so it was a good thing I did...Your right...your surgery could have been scheduled for 7 and they would have still said don't eat after midnight. They always have to make everything sooo hard....
